MSN E-mail Settings
by Carl Tenning, Tacoma Open Group For Microcomputers

Before subscribing to MSN, I used Outlook Express for sending and receiving e-mail. I had grown accustomed to Outlook Express and liked the way it listed the different e-mail accounts in the left column along with local folders for saving the e-mail offline. At first I found the change to MSN a bit awkward, but after awhile I grew to like it. Some people hate it, but I like it. As time went on I would sign-up some e-mail accounts and cancel others. Sometimes I would have obsolete entries or get duplicate entries in the accounts list. Twice I called for help, but either the technician didn't understand my problem or they too didn't know how to delete duplicate or obsolete entries. I finally found the solution by accident. It seems so simple as you read it here, but the problem is that there are a number of confusing other alternatives. Here is the solution:

Adding or Deleting MSN E-mail Accounts Shown on the E-mail Page
   1. From MSN Explorer, click on the "Help & Settings" tab.
   2. Click on Settings (Ctrl + T)
   3. Brings up the "Top 10 settings" page. Select item #1, "Change your e-mail settings".
   4. Brings up the "E-mail settings" page. Select "Additional e-mail accounts".
   5. Brings up the "Additional e-mail accounts settings" page. Select "Additional MSN and Hotmail e-mail accounts".
   6. Brings up the "Set up your additional MSN and Hotmail accounts" page showing the e-mail addresses where accounts may be added or deleted.
