I'M B-A-A-A-ACK!
If Carl Tenning can print his picture, I guess I
can too! You may not have recognized me at first (we're trying to find a
more recent photograph). But yes, it's your editor gettin' some book
learnin' a few years back!
My thanks to Carl for filling in while we
attended several reunions back east--high school and former working
compadres. Now that you've had a taste of it, Carl, maybe you're up for
more while I go visit more old friends while they and I are still
around.
Perhaps there are other budding editors among
our ranks as well, just itching try their hand at the monthly
newsletter. If so let us know and we'll arrange to take more time off!
Certainly we are always looking for articles by our members--or even
just a question that can be answered or a commentary on how you use your
computer.

TOG Officers Elected
Continuing a TOG tradition of simple elections Ray
Mills will continue as President for anothe year. Others continuing in
their roles are Tom Stepanek as Librarian, Bob Thomson as Newsletter
Editor and Harold Broomell as Expediter getting the newsletter printed
and mailed. Sandee Gimblett was elected to fill the roles of Vice
President/Program Chairperson and Secretary/Treasurer when David Rowe
and Bob Henkel declined re-election.
Programs Needed. You Can Help!
No, no! Don't just breathe a sigh of relief and
sit back for another year while someone else presents you with good
meeting programs. Sandee Gimblett needs your help with ideas for meeting
program subjects and experts or members--not necessarily mutually
exclusive--to present them. Sandee will lead by example at the August
meeting with a repeat of her presentation on interfacing her computer
with her automated sewing machine to do embroidery and quilting. What do
you have to offer? Sandee wants to lnow!
Chock Full O' Tips
Like most of our issues this one is full of good
tips and interesting articles. Most of them are from other user groups,
and we appreciate that they have been generous enough to make them
available through newsletter exchange or on the Internet. Let's get
writing and share some of our expertise with them and each other
