UPDATE
Neat Stuff on TOGGLE Home Page
We hope you visit the toggle.org website regularly. There is more on the site than the online version of the TOGGLE newsletter (which we modestly admit is a major draw!). One of the features of the TOGGLE Home page, instituted in recent months, is the Webmaster Tips section. An example of the kind of information provided there is the recent (Dec 16th) article entitled ACSS: Aural Style Sheets by Joe Burns, PhD, where he discusses the HTML coding presently implementable to enable text to be spoken orally in, for example, a Question and Answer format. Although none of the Web browsers currently support this capability, Burns suggests that this exciting possibility might be expected in future browser versions. Both male and female voices can be specified, as well as speed and cadence. Take a look. In the event that this article is no longer featured on the Home page try going directly to it at www.htmlgoodies.com/ beyond/ acss.html

The Webmaster Tips feature list is changing all the time so the TOGGLE Home page is worth re-visiting from time to time--say weekly. Those of you who log on directly to read only the TOGGLE newsletter may be missing some very interesting stuff.

Of course, the subject matter of every article may not appeal to everyone--but who knows? One or two may be exactly what you looking for!
The Best Kept Secret...
from the Dec 2001 North Texas PCUG Newsletter

How many of you discovered the User Group quite by accident?
One member happened onto Infomart1 during one of our Saturday2 meetings and stopped by the Information Booth3 to find out what was going on. That was some years ago and he has enjoyed his membership ever since. He lives in Dallas and New York, but plans his schedule around our meeting dates as he says there is nothing like it in New York. [We doubt that -ed] He has followed the NTPCUG to Big Town, LHFC and to NorthLake Community College.4
That's a compliment we can be proud of!
Learning and sharing information about computers is fun and enriching. Tell your friends, family and co-workers about us. Stop by the Information Booth3 and pick up some brochures5 to pass along to those interested.

TOGGLE Editor's Notes:
    1 Parkland/Spanaway Library
    2 Second Monday evening
3 We don't have an Information Booth but don't be shy. Come into the Meeting Room and ask any club officer or leave a question on our website at www.toggle.org.
4 We've tried a couple of other locations over the years but mostly stayed at or moved back to the Parkland/Spanaway Library. We also have loyal members who stuck with us through it all since 1982.
5 We don't have brochures--but how about a copy of a past issue of the TOGGLE newsletter? We've got extras. Just ask.
