Did you know that Internet Explorer (IE) includes a Kiosk mode feature that allows you to access only webpages?

When you run IE in Kiosk mode, nothing is shown but IE in full screen mode. Once in Kiosk mode, you won't be able to access the Windows Desktop until you close IE. [Last item on list below -ed]

[Editor's Note: We have mentoned before that pressing the F11 key yields an almost full screen with just the top "tool bar" present, but with the bottom tool bar appearing when the cursor is brought to the bottom of the screen. In Kiosk mode, no top or bottom "tool bar" margins are present, the full screen is available for the display. This is great for slide show presentations.]

To start IE in Kiosk mode, [from the Desktop] do the following:

. Click the Start button and select Run.

. Type "iexplore -k url", [without the quotes] url being the website you want IE to open. Kiosk mode is different from pressing on the F11 key while in IE.
In this (F11) mode, you still have access to a navigation bar at the top of the screen. In kiosk mode, you don't have the bar.

Once in Kiosk mode, you can use these keyboard shortcuts to access the features of IE.
