Partition Magic 5.0 - Evaluation
by Harold Rasmussen, Tacoma Open Group for Microcomputers
This program works quite well, once you figure out how to use it. Because PartitionMagic 5. 0 can be insta1led from Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000, as well as from DOS, OS/2, and Linux, the User Guide must state almost every instruction four times: once for Windows 3.x; again for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000; a third time for DOS or OS/2; and, fma1ly, again for Linux systems. The insta1lation and use of PartitionMagic 5.0 is made somewhat more tedious because of these separate instructions.

One improvement is the use of color coding to show used and unused space. This makes it easier to determine what you can perform on your hard drive.
Another thing I like very much is the table for FAT and FAT32 .This performance works quite well, also improving the memory on the hard drive. I had a hard drive which indicated there was no information on drive D after being transferred from drive C. However, I was able to speed up the drive and make the hard drive work much better.

Sometimes I think there is too much incorporated into this piece of software, although it works quite well for my purposes.
