Q. Is there a free program for Windows 98 that reads text aloud?
Luke Gustin, Denver A. Text-to-speech capability, which allows your computer to read a document or message to you, is |
built into the Macintosh. Windows doesn't have the ability yet, although Microsoft is working on software called (Microsoft Agent) that will let Windows speak, eventually. For now you'll need separate software such as the $29.99 L&H Xpress Standard (www.lhs.com; 800-843-1224).
