CD-ROM Won't Read New Disks?
Having trouble reading CDs written in new packet format? It may be due to the read-ahead feature failing to cope with link blocks in the new format.	To turn off read-ahead caching, go to the Windows Start menu and select: Settings/Control Panel/System/Performance/File System/CD-ROM and set "Optimize Access Pattern for" to "No-Read Ahead". Who knows? It may help.
