| Getting Rid of "Enhancements" | |
| from Q&A by Patrick Marshall, Seattle Times, Mar 12, 2000 | |

Q. I recently
downloaded a browser "enhancement" for Internet Explorer called GoHip.
Unfortunately, I've found that I can't get rid of the thing. It's always
on top of my browser screen. And what's worse, a message about GoHip
now always appears in my outgoing e-mail. What can I do?
Natalie Johnson, Mukilteo |
A. When you agreed
to install GoHip, the program automatically changed your e-mail
signature and the home page for your browser. Here's how to undo things.
Go to www.gohip.com/remove_browser_ enhancement.html and follow the instructions to download the Remove.Exe file, which will uninstall GoHip.
After running the program, reboot, then update or delete your e-mail signature and specify a new home page in Internet Explorer. |
