Getting Rid of SPAM
from column by Patrick Marshall, Seattle Times July 18

Readers responding to recent columns about spam and how to fight it have sent in suggestions about several additional resources for waging the good fight. Check out Spam Cop, a reporting and filtering service. You can report spammers free of charge, and if you want Spam Cop to filter out spam before it reaches you you can subscribe to the service for a nominal charge.

Another filtering tool that's well worth a look is SpamKiller. This product--available free for a 30 day evaluation period at http://www.spamkiller.com--will
screen all incoming mail, blocking messages from known spammers. Filter updates are free, and the program takes steps to make sure you don't lose mail from friends and associates that might be mistaken for spam.

Finally, if you want to keep up on what's happening in the fight against spam in Washington state, you can check out that latest news at http://wa-state-resident.com/spamnews.htm
